A social offer campaign rewards a participant for a stated action, subject to verification and applicable platform rules. It can introduce a brand to interested people, but an approved task does not establish lasting engagement, an independent endorsement or an improvement in search rankings.
Use this format only when the requested action is allowed, the audience is relevant and the expected benefit is measurable. If you need product insight rather than public engagement, a private feedback task is often a clearer brief.
What ClixWall currently supports
ClixWall's social task configuration includes X, Instagram and YouTube. The action options available in the campaign form are not blanket permission from those platforms. Check the exact action, destination and current platform policy before running a campaign. Reddit is not a supported social task platform.
The social campaign workflow describes instructions, participant proof and advertiser review. Advertisers approve eligible submissions; approval spends a campaign credit. Publishers can earn from approved activity shown through the Wall and credit users under their own reward terms. Available campaigns and eligibility determine what a user sees.
Start with the outcome, then choose the task
A campaign should solve a specific problem. For example, a hypothetical software team might need to understand whether people can find its export button. Paying for a detailed private explanation makes that outcome easier to evaluate than paying for a public compliment.
| Objective | Useful approach | What the result does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Understand onboarding friction | Private written feedback on a defined step | Representative market research |
| Commission a content asset | A clear creative brief with permission for reuse | An independent customer endorsement |
| Invite permitted social participation | A relevant action with policy review and clear terms | Future engagement, purchases or organic reach |
| Learn from Reddit discussions | Authentic questions and community participation | A guaranteed number of comments |
Use the UGC and feedback campaign workflow for appropriate written submissions and optional screenshots. Our Reddit guide explains how public community conversations differ from a rewarded research task.
Read the destination's rules before writing the brief
YouTube's fake engagement policy prohibits artificially increasing metrics and content that exists solely to incentivize engagement. A participant using a real account does not make every rewarded action acceptable.
Similarly, Reddit's community disruption policy prohibits vote manipulation and coordinated voting. Do not commission artificial Reddit discussions through a general task campaign.
Disclosure also matters when payment creates a public endorsement. The FTC's endorsement guidance explains material relationships. Disclosure does not override a platform's prohibition. Do not require favorable reviews or disguise paid participants as independent customers.
Write proof and acceptance conditions together
Tell participants what to do, what evidence to submit, who is eligible and how review works before they start. Make the conditions narrow enough that another reviewer could apply them consistently. Avoid requests for passwords or private account access.
A hypothetical private feedback brief could say:
Read our public setup page. Describe the step you would take after registration and identify one instruction that is unclear. Submit an explanation in your own words. Honest criticism is acceptable; approval depends on answering both questions, not on a favorable opinion.
If you need a reusable image or video, agree on ownership, permission, intended channels and attribution before publishing it. Do not assume paying for task completion transfers every content right.
Measure the approved action and later behavior separately
Track submissions, approvals, rejections, advertiser spend and review effort. Then examine the business outcome in your own system: a qualified inquiry, a useful content asset, an onboarding improvement or a returning user. Keep these denominators separate.
For instance, a hypothetical $60 campaign producing 20 approved feedback responses costs $3 per approved response before internal review time. If only five responses contain a previously unknown issue, record that learning separately. These numbers demonstrate a calculation; they are not ClixWall prices, benchmarks or promised results.
Do not infer a growth flywheel from a follower count or claim a branded-search lift without evidence. Paid task results and organic discovery can move at the same time for unrelated reasons. Use the online presence guide for a broader plan.
Publisher responsibilities
Explain rewards, proof submission and pending approval. Credit the correct user when a confirmed conversion reaches your system, handle duplicate callbacks, and reconcile reversals. Your user-facing redemption terms remain distinct from ClixWall's publisher payment terms.
Check support questions before prioritizing a category. A short task is not necessarily a reliable or useful task, and availability can change. The publisher selection checklist helps evaluate offer fit alongside net revenue.
Frequently asked questions
Do social offer campaigns improve SEO?
No automatic ranking benefit is established. Evaluate paid outcomes separately from organic search. Useful feedback may inform a page improvement, but that is different from purchasing a ranking signal.
Are social tasks always approved immediately?
No. Approval depends on the campaign's conditions and verification. Avoid promises about timing unless the specific campaign provides a reliable review window.
Can a campaign guarantee loyal followers?
No. Completing a rewarded action does not guarantee later engagement or purchases. Check the destination's rules and measure the actual outcome you need.
